The recent Light Treatment Effectiveness (LITE) study has shown that home phototherapy for psoriasis is as effective as office-based treatments. This large study compared the two methods and found that patients receiving home phototherapy had similar rates of achieving clear or almost clear skin as those treated in a clinic. The study also highlighted the potential for home phototherapy to improve access to treatment, especially in areas with limited dermatology services (The National Psoriasis Foundation) (Dermatology Times) (HCP Live).
